چکیده

Closing the complex life cycle of closed thelycum shrimp in captivity is one fundamental challenges breeding programs. In present study, we investigated sexual maturity, broodstock development, and spawning performance two generations captive-reared Indian white shrimp, Penaeus indicus , over 36 months originated from a single stock wild brooders. The post larvae (G N -1) produced P. 0 ) P.L. -2) broodstocks were nursery (1000 PL m -3 grow-out (12 -2 reared, subsequently raised ponds (1 ). annual salinity photoperiod varied between 20 to ppt, 11.2 -12.5 L 11.5-12.8 D hours, respectively. light intensity 91 ± 6 lux at dusk 75,358 1719 noon. size first impregnation or mating was 16.45 1.7 g (132 DOC) 17.62 1.9 (90 DOC), respectively, G -1 females. By 220 DOC, 25% females initiated gonad whereas 55% recorded developing ovaries stage II 150 DOC. attained an average final body weight 38.85 1.5 42.65 1.8 by 360 highest (p<0.01) eggs per gram (5137 303 hatchability, H (83 0.7%), followed (1,715 162 ; H: 69 2%) (1,476 151 75 1%). However, had better survival (89-92%) than (71 0.8%). Further, indoor maturation trial (21 days) using ablated revealed 79% impregnated undergo molting, resulting loss sperm pack subsequent reduction efficacy 29%. count percentage normal also (p<0.05) during cycle. data generated investigation can form baseline information for strategy genetic improvement India.

Biochemical Composition of Shell and Flesh of the Indian White Shrimp Penaeus indicus

Shrimps are an extremely good source of protein, yet are very low in fat and calories, making them a very healthy choice of food. The present was investigated the variation between the proximate and mineral compositions of the shell and flesh of Penaeus indicus. Shrimps were collected from the Vellar estuarine environment Southeast coast of India. The results of proximate composition shows that...

Arsenic effects on growth parameters of Indian prawn, Penaeus indicus

Chronic toxicity test was conducted for 28 days with post larval stages of Penaeus indicus to arsenic for studying the changes associated with growth pattern, specifying the length, weight and condition factor. Arsenic exposures produced significant (P < 0.05) effect in terms of length, weight and deteriorated the condition factor of the test animal. Differentiation in relation between the cond...

Prevalence and intensity of protozoan ectoparasite of the white leg shrimp (penaeus indicus) in Helleh site, South of Iran

Development of shrimp farming has been associated with the incidence of fatal diseases including viral, bacterial and protozoan parasites of shrimp. Our study was aimed to present an status of several important protozoan parasites of F. indicus in cultured earthen ponds in Iran during the period of 2011 to 2012. One hundred live shrimp  were randomly prepared from the Shrimp Helleh Station in s...
